Operating System Lead for Embedded Systems
Location: Helsinki, Finland (Part-time office presence required)

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Operating System Lead to help us evolve the state of the art of the modern OS technology to meet the advancing graphics, UX and compute needs of the intelligent augmented reality computers. Are you passionate about embedded systems and eager to work with newer than the latest? Do you have hands-on experience from adapting ARM and GPU based system architectures, performance and cost into leading edge products? Do you know how to assemble and tailor from scratch the gigantic software alternatives that bring that iron to life and great performance? Can you summon and drive a team of maverick engineers and architect the automation that keeps the beast of a system under control of rapid and predictable release delivery? We know we are looking for a lot but this is the company you will be joining. This role requires a part-time presence in our Helsinki office, allowing you to collaborate in immediate contact with the rest of us and your developer team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Inspire: Guide our team of embedded engineers to new heights with your expertise in operating systems for embedded products.
- Code Review: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality and efficient code.
- Daily Operations: Run daily stand-ups, track progress, and keep the team aligned and motivated.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams to integrate and optimize our embedded systems.
- Innovate and Optimize: Continuously seek opportunities to improve our products and processes and the capabilities of out system platform technology to deliver computer capabilities that are unique in the world

Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven HW+SW system design and delivery experience over multiple architecture and product generations. Hands-on experience with some of the latest ARM and GPU etc compute platforms such as Qualcomm Snapdragon, Android Automotive, AOSP, Nvidia
- Technical Skills: Strong personal developer background in embedded systems, firmware, and driver development at some point of your career. Exceptional system design, specification and technical communication skills within and without tech space
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to recruit, lead and inspire a team of engineers.
- Communication: Excellent managerial communication skills, both written and verbal
- Problem-Solving: Advanced analytical and problem-solving methodology
