Computer Vision Engineer

Location: Helsinki, Finland (Part-time office presence required)

Position Overview: Computer vision engineer - junior or senior. Expert positions in our core competence team responsible for developing all aspects of our computer vision solutions from hardware to optics, algorithms and user testing.

Role and Responsibilities: Depending on your experience level, as an essential part of our team you will perform some or all of the following:

  • Assist our other talented machine learning and computer vision engineers with tooling, experiments, data engineering and testing aiming for groundbreaking products
  • Develop and deploy state-of-the-art solutions yourself
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of complex algorithms and models.
  • Ensure the seamless integration of our technologies into various applications and platforms.
  • Engage in problem-solving and troubleshooting to support the team in overcoming technical challenges.
  • Collaborate across departments to align our innovations with the company’s strategic goals.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Technical Proficiency: 
    • Strong generic engineering background with hands-on experience in computer vision, imaging, machine learning, or related fields.
    • Software product engineering experience
    • Data engineering skills
    • Computer vision related hardware knowledge
    • Preferably basic applied mathematics and signal processing skills (calculus, statistics, linear algebra, geometry, filtering, estimation). Self-learned or university-level
  •        Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to tackle complex challenges and deliver effective solutions.
  • Team Player: Excellent collaboration skills to work seamlessly with a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a passion for continuous learning.
  • Global Perspective: Willingness to work in a hybrid model and collaborate with team members from around the world.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related discipline are preferred, but not a must.
  • Proven experience in computer vision or machine learning projects.
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages such as Python and C++.
  • Familiarity with frameworks and tools like OpenCV, numpy, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills.
